Vitalyoga
Story
I am one of the fortunate ones because I have survived five years after having a melanoma removed from my back on 11 Jan 2018. However, I have met people who have been not so fortunate, including a yoga client of Pam. She survived many years longer than expected. A few months before she died, she told the participants at an MIA support meeting in Canberra that yoga with Pam had helped her cope (and even to thrive). The support of my extended family helped me greatly. They will be walking with me on March 5th. Only today (Sat 4th) I learned of the death of Robert Tranter following a long battle against melanoma cancer. Rob was a colleague and good friend of our son Chris Bleakley of Fairlight, Sydney. His mother is a good friend of my cousin Annette Ure of Caloundra, Qld. So I will be walking, unofficially, in Rob's memory on Sunday.
Melanoma Institute Australia (Melanoma March)
Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the goal of zero deaths from melanoma, a goal we believe we can reach this decade through innovative, world-class research, treatment and education programs.
